Xue Fu Zhu Yu Tang (血府逐瘀汤) for Post-Stroke Depression

Shao et al from Zhejiang Chinese Medical University performed Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis which included 12 RCTs with 889 patients. They found that Xue Fu Zhu Yu Tang (血府逐瘀汤) was as effective as antidepressants and may be used for treating Post-Stroke Depression (PST) in patients who prefer Chinese medicine or cannot tolerate the side effects of antidepressants.

Annals of Chinese Medicine covers all aspects of Chinese Medicine, including acupuncture,  moxibustion, herbal medicine and other forms of CAM approaches, e.g. mind-body medicine, diet, Taichi, Qigong, meditation, as well as their integration with the conventional medicine.
Article types include but are not limited to, reviews, meta-analyses, clinical trials, clinical protocols,  basic science studies, papers on methodology and medical history or education, conference proceedings, and so on.
