Annals of Acupuncture (AA) is an peer-reviewed Open Access journal. AA is an interdisciplinary journal focusing on academic research and clinical studies in the field of acupuncture. It aims to be a leading journal for studies in the field of acupuncture and to promote blending of among acupuncture, complementary and alternative medicine (CAM), and bio-medicine. The editorial board of AA is committed to publishing high-quality papers on acupuncture an open forum for various disciplines.

Topics covered include all aspects of acupuncture including moxibustion, Qigong, diet, etc. And other forms of CAM approaches, e.g. herbal medicine, mind-body medicine, Taichi, Qigong, meditation, as well as their integration with the conventional medicine.

Article types include, but are not limited to, reviews, meta-analyses, clinical trails, clinical protocols, basic science studies, papers on methodology and medical history or education, conference proceedings, and so on.

AA adopts the publication mode of serialization open access (SOA) which makes the valuable articles faster,  more visible, shareable and citable. 

The journal also publishes quaterly special issues i.e. The Acupuncturist which only cover short papers recommended by our editoral board.

Integrative Medicine Preprint (IMP) is the first  preprint platform dedicated to the field on integrative medicine, including acupuncture and moxibustion, traditional Chinese medicine, Ayurvedic medicine, herbal medicine, homeopathy, nutrition, chiropractic, mind-body medicine, Taichi, Qigong, meditation, and any other modalities of CAM, as well as their integration with the conventional medicine.It is a free, not-for-profit service supported by the open access publisher Heyttu Academic Publishing.
